Privacy Policy
At Dalila, we are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your personal data is handled in a secure and responsible manner. This Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, use, and store your information when you visit our website or make a purchase.
Last updated: September 2026
Dalila (dalilashome.com) is operated by Catarina Costeira Unipessoal LDA, a company registered in Portugal, with NIF 518637859 and registered office at 4705-098 Braga, Portugal.
We are the data controller, responsible for deciding how and why your personal information is processed. For questions about your privacy or to exercise your rights, contact hello@dalilashome.com.
1. Information We Collect
We collect personal data that you provide directly to us, such as:
- Full name
- Email address
- Shipping and billing address
- Phone number (if provided)
- Payment information (processed securely via Stripe)
Any other details shared through orders, newsletter signups, or emails
What We Collect and Why
- When you place an order: We collect your name, billing and delivery addresses, email, phone number, and order details so we can prepare and deliver your pieces, keep you updated, and help with returns or questions about your purchase. We use this information to fulfill our contract with you. Without the details required at checkout, we may not be able to process or deliver your order. We also use the information needed to issue invoices and meet our tax and accounting obligations. The legal basis for this is compliance with the law.
- When you make a payment: Payments are handled by Stripe. We don’t store your full card details ourselves. We keep payment confirmations and transaction references so we can manage your order, refunds, and accounting. Processing your payment is necessary to fulfill our contract with you. Stripe also processes certain information for its own legal and regulatory obligations, as explained in its privacy policy.
- When you sign up for our newsletter: We collect your email address and, if you share it, your name, so we can send you news from Dalila through Mailchimp. We send these emails with your consent. You can unsubscribe whenever you like using the link in any newsletter, or by emailing us. Unsubscribing won’t affect the messages we need to send about an order or invalidate an issued discount code.
- When you browse our website: With your consent, we use Google Analytics to understand how people use our website, and Meta and Pinterest tools to measure and personalize advertising. These tools may collect information such as your IP address, browser and device details, pages visited, and interactions with the website. You can choose whether to allow them through our cookie settings.
2. How Long We Keep Your Information
- How long we keep your information depends on what we need it for:
- Orders and customer support: We keep account and customer support records for up to 5 years following your purchase to handle returns, inquiries, and legal guarantee obligations under Portuguese consumer law.
- Invoices and accounting records: We keep financial and tax records for 10 calendar years, as required by Portuguese tax legislation (Código do IRC).
- Payment information: Transaction references are retained as part of our financial records for 10 years. Stripe retains cardholder data according to its own regulatory requirements.
- Newsletter information: We retain subscriber data until you unsubscribe. If you opt out, we keep a suppression list record to ensure we respect your preference.
- Analytics and advertising information: Data collected via Google Analytics, Meta, and Pinterest is retained within those platforms for up to 14 months from collection, or until you clear your cookies or request deletion.
When information is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it securely.
3. Who Helps Us Look After Your Order and Website
We work with service providers to take payments, arrange deliveries, issue invoices, and keep in touch. Depending on how you use our website and the choices you make, these include:
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Packlink & Courier Services — Shipping arrangements and delivery
- Moloni — Certified invoicing and tax records
- Mailchimp — Newsletter distribution and subscriber management
- Google Analytics — Site usage analytics
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram) — Performance tracking and advertising
- Pinterest — Performance tracking and advertising
- CookieYes — Cookie consent management
We share information strictly as needed for these purposes. Some providers process data on our behalf; others act as independent controllers under their own privacy policies. We may also disclose information where required by law to tax or public authorities. We do not sell your personal data.
4. When Information Is Processed Outside Europe
Some of our third-party service providers (such as Stripe, Google, Meta, Mailchimp, and Pinterest) process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA), including in the United States.
Where this occurs, international data transfers are protected under valid legal mechanisms, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (DPF) adequacy decision and the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs).
You can contact us at hello@dalilashome.com for more information about the specific safeguards applied to international transfers.

You can accept, reject, or customize optional cookies when you first visit our site, and you may update or revoke your preferences at any time by clicking the Cookie Settings link in our website footer.
